NEA Annual Conference

The Chesshire Lehmann Fund recently offered free places for students/community workers to attend NEA's 2011 annual conference.

NEA's 2011 conference was held at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate on the 14-16 September and was sponsored by RWE npower. The conference explored the key issues impacting on the fuel poverty agenda including the progress of The Energy Bill and other Coalition Government policies in what is likely to be a challenging year for organisations working to assist fuel poor households.

Feedback from one of the students: "It was great to meet people working in a variety of organisations. I learned a lot from the presentations, and liked how their focus varied between national-scale initiatives and specific case studies. [The Conference] might have helped me forge a partnership with a social housing provider to find some homes to study for my PhD project."
