The Chesshire Lehmann Fund is open to applicants across England although applications from the North West and the South East regions are particularly welcome. There are 2 funding streams:

Who can apply?
There are two streams:
Research - a researcher from an academic institution or the academic institution itself can apply for funding, preference will be given to new post graduates. An academic institution is an educational institution dedicated to education and research.
Community Action – community groups/not-for-profit organisations must have direct engagement with low income households and be active in local communities.
Exclusions
If your application is successful, grantees must submit an interim and final report about their results – a minimum of 2 sides of A4 for the interim report. The report should focus on the results and findings of the research. An application form can be downloaded below.
